For instance, in a situation when she/he needs to go back to their country; or when the au pair needs to borrow money for their urgent family situation. Regarding this we need assistance from the local or national government to support us with shelter facilities; and donor for the financial support.
  • Au pair database and assessment. In order to gather recent data and information about the exact numbers of au pairs and their situation in the Netherlands, we do assessment to the non-EU and EU au pairs. By doing the assessment, we also hope to have an au pair database; to find out an exact number and the real situation of au pair in the Netherlands.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation. In purpose to create a better standard of au pair program in the Netherlands, we do monitor and evaluate the life quality and the current situations of fellow au pairs in the Netherlands. There is a ground set of government regulation concerning au pair, however, the implementation is not yet run properly. Therefore, by conducting an annual research about the au pair life in the Netherlands, we hope that we can give a representation of the actual au pairs’ situation.

  • Au pair Surfer: Native Dutch family who want to support au pair who does not really have a good bonding with the host family. What they do simply invites the au pair to attend their family event, such as a birthday, Christmas Eve, Easter brunch, or even just visit for a coffee time. The idea is the au pair can “surf” the real authentic Dutch culture from the local, and the Dutch can learn or get to know the other culture.
  • Au pair pre-loved (online) shop. We know that au pair does not have much money for living. Therefore, we sell second-hand (super) low-price items for au pairs; such as jacket, shoes, clothes, etc. The (small) benefit of the sold items will be used to support our programs.
